Default 4L60e dropping out of gear...

I bought the 2001 4l60 rebuilt for my 87 swb 5.3 swap, took it to another shop later because fluid was leaking from the harness connection, had the harness and seal replaced. Seemed to be fine for a couple weeks, now dropping out of gear to a neutral state until i slow down then goes back into gear, fluid is fine, code is p0706, there is no neutral safety, the guy i bought the trans from said theres no power to the trans. NEED HELP! THANKS!

What do you mean by there’s no power to the trans? No voltage? No engine power?

When I call the shop about the transmission from, he said there was no power going to the transmission that's what it sounded like to him. I guess i need to probe the pins to the trans see whats hot and whats not.

With no voltage to the trans you should at least have 3rd gear.

After some extensive research, I replaced the speed sensor on the tail shaft, $25 at the parts store, and is back to normal.
