Default Torque converter help asap please

I need some help ASAP please. I'm having trouble obtaining the correct torque converter for my swap. Here's my setup, the motor is from a 2002 Silverado 1500 z71 4x4 with automatic trans. The motor it self is a 4.8l. The trans I have is a 4l60e from a 2003 express van 2500, but I don't think the trans was correct for that vehicle. I need to get a torque converter ASAP, a stock converter will do. My motor is not built and neither is the trans. PLEASE I NEED SOME HELP ASAP. Thanks in advance. Let me know if any other information is needed.

Take a picture of the front of the trans and post it; I especially want to see the type of input shaft - 300mm or 298mm. I suspect anything 2003 is 300mm, but sometimes people don't have what they think. 300mm and 298mm converters are completely different.
A 300mm trans will bolt right up up any LS engine.

People throw those converters away daily. Should be easy to get your hands on one.

I'll post a pic tonight when I get home. Thanks for the quick response.

Generally the 2500 series vans have 4l80's. Pics would help greatly.

It wasn't the correct one for the van I pulled it from. Someone didn't replace the correct trans in the van.

The critical front of the input shaft if fuzzy in the picture and I cannot tell for sure what it is. Kinda looks like a 298mm input shaft.
What you want for any LS swap is a 300mm input shaft. See pic in post #2:

This is the 298mm input shaft. You would need an "LT" style converter to make this work with a pilot extender to properly engage the crank. The bolt pattern will be slightly different, so you can elongate the holes to make that work. We prefer a flexplate with the correct pattern, but that's another topic. As far as getting the electronics to work, that's a bit beyond my wheelhouse. Like mrvedit said, it would be easier if you got the correct "LS" trans.

It looked like a 298mm "LT" style 4L60E to me too. Just not a good choice for an LS engine, especially a stock one with many miles. The tag indicates it is a '00 which should be electrically compatible with most LS PCMs, but it is still a bad choice.
