4l60e input shaft and torque converter options

Default 4l60e input shaft and torque converter options

I am getting close to bolting a 4l60e up to a built LNF ecotec in my Solstice GXP. I modified the bell so I could bolt it up. I used an '02 Camaro V6 4l60e for a few reasons. Dowels line up on an ecotec and center the crank and the torque converter has a .825" pilot which is the same as an ecotec as well. I also have a spare V8 4l60e that Ive been comparing. So my questions...

Should I be concerned with a V6 input shaft handling 500whp? It looks so much smaller than the V8 input shaft.

Do torque converters have a limit on the power/rpms they can handle? I was gonna run the stock V6 converter for a bit if possible. Only spinning 7200rpm.

Is there a vendor that can make a custom converter so I can get a 3600 stall, use a 300mm input shaft , .825" pilot and possibly an ecotec flex bolt pattern? I think I can just elongate the holes on the ecotec flex but if it can be built Id rather just get that done too.

Should I even be worried about an input shaft failure at 500 wheel?

We actually build a converter for the V6 Camaros so im sure we could accommodate a converter for you(custom built of course)

regards to the input shaft, it SHOULD be a 27 spline input shaft(same as 200r4/700r4) and will hold up no problem to you 500HP

Im using the same trans set up and talked to sonnex a month ago or so about a billet input shaft (245mm)and they wanted me to use a 298mm shaft and have a custom convertor made . Said there wasnt enough demand for 400 shafts to be built. sucks. Im thinking of getting a 300mm and having a machine shop turn it down to a 245mm. looks very doable.
