Default 4l60e limp mode but no SES light

I have a 2001 tahoe 4l60e with a 3200 stall converter. Recently got it back up and running after being down for 6 months. Transmission shifts fine until it randomly goes into limp mode but doesn't throw a code. Then goes out of limp mode after being shut off overnight. Could this mean that the transmission is overheating or is this a electrical issue? Has anyone had anything similar to this? Thanks

Its not throwing a code as in no light, or did you actually plug a scanner up to it.

I didn't see a code as in there wasn't any light. Couldn't plug in my code reader since it was at home at the time

check the sensor for a solid connection, it may be simply unplugged.

The error has to occur twice on the same drive cycle for the MIL to illuminate.
Does the speedometer drop out?

I have checked the connection and it was plugged in and all the wire of what i can see is intact. I have R&Red the sensor hopefully it had fixed the problem. Before I replaced the sensor every so often the speedo would almost act like it was sticking when accelerating then it would catch up to the real speed im going.
