Default Best Flexplate for Long Crank Lq4 w/ 4l60e converter

Anyone have any part numbers or recommendations for a flexplate I might be able to use for my long crank lq4? I will be running an LS 60e and will have the snout on the converter cut down so it works properly.

I believe the the cover itself on a 300mm converter will run into the crank bolts.

Factory still LS converter can't have the pilot cut down, it would have to be a aftermarket converter.

To the OP: We recommend and only trust Meziere for all of our flexplates. If you're looking for the very best and don't min spending the money then Meziere is the way to go.

Thanks for the link, but a $425 flexplate is out of my price range. So would an LS converter with cut down pilot work or do I need something like an LT/SBC/80e converter front with ls/60e back half?

yes an AFTERMARKET LS converter would work with a cut down LS pilot(provided your flexplate has an LS bolt pattern). You would not need a LT/SBC/80E style cover unless the flexplate you choose does not have an LS(11.062") converter bolt circle.

An easy option to eliminate ALOT of the guess work you have going on here is to make sure you go with an aftermarket converter such as our SRLS series that has all 3 bolt patterns (Small GM, Large GM(Also 4L80E/LT), and LS)

with a converter such as ours all you have to do is make sure you get a flat flexplate to fit your crank and you'll be all set.

This is a nice cheap flexplate that has the 80e converter pattern on it. Knock the spacer off for a long crank application. Part number ATP Z-270
