1000rwhp turbo street car new to fbody ?
I sold my ysi erl 416 C6 vette it made 820rwhp
I picked up an fbody roller looking to do a turbo build around 1000whp
I would like to be able to go to the track and run mid 9s with the least worry of braking. But I would like decent street manners to drive around on nice days, and do some roll racing
I have about 4000 to spend on a trans if I have to.
I'm sure this question has been asked before would I be better off with a turbo 400 or a 4l80
school me I'm coming from a 6l80

400 will be the cheaper of the two, and with that much power.... you won't need much gear... so it will cruise fine. And yes, you can roll race just fine with a 400. You won't be doing any mile racing with the 400... but for the average stuff... you're good.
