4l60e 550 hp

hi I have a 2009 GMC Sierra 1500 with 5.3 and I want to make 550 hp and I have 4l60e 4x4

The problem is......Trucks are heavier than your run-of-the-mill performance vehicle like a Camaro or Corvette. If your going to beat the **** out of it.....Do a 4L80E swap!

I agree, I have a 5.3 1500 and an LS1 Camaro. Car has full bolt ons and 243 heads, and 150 shot. Truck is bone stock.

Just Friday on my way to work the truck chewed up the sun shell, car is still kicking though.

GM part# 19132978 is the 32 spline Input for the MP-3023 that's in your truck.

GM part# 15724745 is the 4L80E T-Case adapter (Round 6-bolt) you will need.

I use 2wd 4L80E cores with fully splined output shafts & cut the output to the correct length for the application using a band saw.

Section the crossmember & use some 1/4 plate to extend the mount area of crossmember back.

Trans cooler lines off/for a '01-'06 GMT800 2500HD will fit a GMT900 truck.

Add a external neutral safety switch over the manual shift shaft, One for a 2007/2008 GMT900 truck will work, You need the Connector/Pigtail as well.

Some wiring required.....It's not that much! If you decide to do this, PM me & I can help.

You may be able to reprogram your existing T42 trans controller, If not.....Used one's are not expensive

Both driveshafts reworked.
