This is where the temp was sitting after doing WOT on the onramp then crusing at 80 for 5-10 min after. Hopefully all of these pictures give a good feel of how it does on hot days.

Very good numbers. Where is your trans temp sending unit located?

In the pressure test port on the driver side of the trans. Not sure if that would read cooler ot hotter than a pan mounted one.

That's where mine is also. Going to try the Hayden and compare the glow shift gauge readout to HP tuners.

That's a good idea I should have had my tuner verify it was accurate. So far glowshift has worked out well for me. He did say my wideband was accurate to the one he used so hopefully that's the same for the trans temp gauge lol.

I'm going to install the Hayden 679 unit today and see how it does. Looks like you make your own brackets? It doesn't matter where the feed and return line goes on the hayden but I'll most likely hook mine up like this with the radiator completely bypassed:

Install went too smoothly. Able to run SSRA now and the 11x11 cooler is mounted inbetween the rad and condenser, secured to the condenser. Thanks for being the one to experiment with this setup and post the results. I'll share my numbers soon.

Nice! You should be good to go as long as its somewhat in line with the radiator cooling fan, which it looks like it is. Mounted to the condenser is the way I did it as well so there is a small gap between the cooler and radiator. For normal driving mine will get to around 120-130 i believe and stay there. Then depending on weather, how I'm driving, and whether I'm running my AC it goes up from there but stays plenty safe in my opinion. Being you are in Ohio our weather should be fairly similar. Mine has been doing just fine in this 90+ degree heat wave and it rarely gets hotter than that here in Michigan. I'm excited to see how it works out for you! Keep us posted.
