Anyone still running a Fuddle Racing Converter? I know these guys ended up being scammers but I have about 50k on my converter and the lockup clutch is finally going out. I've been very lucky with my stock 4L60E and my 4k Fuddle. More life than I ever expected.

 

Send it to someone else, they can likely repair it

 

Contact site vendor (FTI Converter) about your converter issue. FTI Converter is legit company. I have their 3800 triple disk converter.

 

Wow, googling "fuddle converters" yields some crazy stories. Fuddle was banned in ls1tech.

 

I haven’t heard of that converter since like 2006 lol, been a while

 

They were a hot item on this forum when they first came out, and disappeared quickly thereafter. I think jimmyblue ran one, IIRC.

That in itself isn't unusual. The Cavalier 9.5" or 10" converters can serve as a basic building block for an LS1 converter. The question is, what does the builder do with it? Weld on an adapter ring and call it good? Or billet front cover, stout clutch material, custom spec stator, furnace brazed fins, etc. etc.?
