Default FTI -hard hit- converters

whos using one, and how do you like it vs a standard soft hit converter? also did it make the car hook harder? Or a challenge to hook with the harder hit?

i read somewhere that the hard hit ones are not meant to be used with a power adder. not sure if thats true or not. might be something to look into if your going that route,

You are correct! The Hard hits are N/A only converters. We have different higher stall converter combinations for power adder setups that are faster and over all perform better.

This is an NA bolt ons car. It may end up with a 100 shot on it later on down the road for late night drags 2-3 times a year but the primary use for the car is 1/8 mile ET brackets. It's low HP and not terribly light. It's 3190lbs and 342rwhp unlocked with the 3000 stall that's in it now.

A bracket setup like that with will benefit tremendously from the hard hits! You'll see better 60's and a more consistent car.

I use an FTI hard hit 4K stall. My setup is similar to yours and I pull consistent 1.58-1.61 60' times on a well prepped track. Car runs 11.90s at 110 mph. The converter is deadly consistent and I highly recommend it for bracket racing and or N/A setups.

I finally got the new converter in the car, and I can't believe how well it works. When they say hard hit they mean it! Went from a beat of 1.67 60ft to a 1.52 on the first hit. The thing hits so hard it shocks the tire and plants the car way better. It's deadly consistent too. The street manners aren't terrible, but by no means a daily driver. You know it's got a big stall. It also picked up 2 and a half tenths and 2 mph in the 1/8th mile. Money well spent! 2 thumbs up for FTI!

I had the hard hit 4,500 converter in a N/A LS2 s10. absolutely loved it. 1.46 N/A 60' times off idle in full street trim.

I have a triple disc billet one and I believe it is a soft hit one. However I have been daily driving the car this week including in traffic jams on I-4 this week Very easy to drive despite being a 4400 one. At track 1.49-1.52 are average. I love it. Have not driven a car with a hard hit but not sure its right for me since I drive my car all over the east coast including MD to Florida with DC traffic.
