Default Need a little help with my 4l60e!

Okay guys here's the deal . I have a 2001 GMC 4x4 5.3 . My trans took a ****. Now I have a brand new Jasper 4l60 from a 1999 GMC 4x4 with the 5.7. Now correct me if I'm wrong but in order to mate the older trans to my 5.3 I need to order the GM spacer to make up the shorter crank in the LS and either buy the Unversial flex plate to bolt the 5.7 Torque Converter or simply oval out the round factory bolt holes in my existing flexplate because if I'm not mistaken the 5.3 Converter does not fit the input shaft on the 5.7 4l60 correct ? Other then the spacer and the flex plate the only other difference I'm seeing is 1 TOP bolt hole on the Bell housing . i already have my LS Tcase bolted to the older style trans.
