What Broke?
At the track, caught hard wheel hop shifting into second (auto shift in OVERDRIVE, I think it caught rev limiter before the shift)...
Hard grinding sounds and locked the back wheels up for a few feet, rolled out the 1/8 mile and returned to the pits, at about 30MPH on the slow down roll, it locked the tires again for a few feet...
First thought was broken pinion tooth in the rear end, but upon inspection the diff is still perfect.
I pulled the pan and filter and had a good amount of metal but didnt seem burnt so it seems like something physically broke.
Just curious what yall thought I broke. I could still drive it around the lot and drove it on and off the trailer, but I believe if it were to try for second gear something would break... Can you like blow clutches apart?? Planetary?? Sun Shell?
Its going to the shop but im just curious for now.

Just take the thing apart and find out what broke.
What are you trying to learn and plan for? **** is broken...are you going to guess what part broke and order before you have it apart? If so, that's one of the funnier things i've read all day.
