Why has this thread turned into such a **** show.
Whining about "parts guys" and having multiple paragraphs about it.
WAY over complicated explanations for some damn quick connects

Just shove the freaking line in...ALL THE WAY...and drive the car.

Somebody close this thread

There’s a lot of truth to the line not being pushed in all the way.

Happen to me in my truck, one time. I never made that mistake again.

Were you able to drive it for awhile before the problem arose or was it evident instantly when you started the car?

It was fine until a vibration or trans movement caused it to pop out.

Like you, it starts smoking when fluid comes out and gets on the exhaust.

Trust us, it wasn’t popped in all the way. It happens to the best of us.

That line is such a weird angle because of the servo that you may have thought you had it in but it was just in there enough.

Well he's right.... some of these guys are sensitive AF.
These guys put in lots of time here and put things point blank..... and the info they share is free I must add.

Imo this site is lucky to have guys like them. It's the best site for automatic transmission responses due to these guys. If people don't like the way they word things then good luck getting that kind of help and info somewhere else.

Yep I'm with you man. All this whining and bitching about what could theoretically be the problem when the solution is as simple as fully seating the line. Not rocket science man move on.

THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO REPLIED. I REALLY APPRECIATE THE HELP. I’ll keep you guys posted as to how it goes. I’m going to get under the car this weekend and see if I can get to it. I might have to drop the exhaust down. Fingers crossed.

Wow! This entire thread could have just been MaroonMonsterLS1 posts and would have saved us all from this nonsense of a thread!

To any of you who believe that those plastic covers do anything other than keep debris from interfering with the actual retaining mechanism...

I pray that the children and our future generations of people are not drinking the same water that all of ya'll are!

Have a nice day!
