4L60E shift kit recommendations
4L60E shift kit recommendations I have a stock 4L60E trans behind my 6.0. (I know, not ideal) in my 67 Chevelle. Does anyone have any suggestions for a shift kit to firm up the shifts a bit? B&M Shift Plus? Transgo?

B&M makes some good shifters/ gear selectors...
But DO NOT purchase any of their transmission products!
Some of the absolute worst designed "Shift Kits" in existence.
The TransGo 4L60E HD2 "Shift Kit" works well for the DIY builder.

Try contacting the member here known as "PBA".
His name is Dana, and many builders including myself believe him to be the most knowledgeable on 4L60E and THM700R4 transmissions.
But DO NOT purchase any of their transmission products!

Agree on the HD-2 and Dana. I got mine from him and he tailors it to your setup. Sonnax also makes a shift kit and some other pieces (example: 2-3 shift valve) that get a high rating from guys who've used them. One option could be to go with the Transgo supplemented by some Sonnax parts.

i have learned a few things since that install.....but i do recommend it over the TG kit

I use some Sonnax parts with the TransGo HD2 and some of my ideas and modifications to get the right combination of what is needed based on what you have, torque converter diameter and stall, how you drive, intent of the vehicle, etc.
