4l80e dipstick swap question

4l80e dipstick swap question So I am trying to figure out a dipstick solution on the cheap and wanted to see if anyone had any good ideas. The engine is a 2006 l33 5.3 and the transmission is a 1996 4l80e. The stock dipstick would fit great but it mounts to one of the bell housing bolts that does not match up on the engine. I was thinking of tapping it for a short bolt or using epoxy to attach a nut. I just need it to hold the dipstick in place. Anyone have any better ideas? I'm sure I'm not the first person to run into this. Thanks in advance

I've seen guys drill and tap the block
I've seen guys actually tap the bellhousing to a large bolt size then just thread it in like a stud and hold the dipstick that way.

You could get a cushion-clamp, wrap that around the dipstick tube, and then bolt that to one of the threaded holes on the back of the cylinder head.
