Then I'll have rebuild or replaced all systems on the truck.

I have a C5 Corvette that's been neglected though. It needs a little work, I keep fidgeting with this truck haha. Corvette is lightening fast. It's awesome. Anyways, thanks for all the awesome help.
You're welcome. Glad that I was able to help you a little.

Attached a PDF with build of materials from my project. It doesn't include ALL the little loose parts such as seals. Mainly what parts that were upgraded or kept factory. @Kfxguy helped me with the 3-4 clutch pack. I didn't end up using the one in kit from Dana was concerned about thinner pressure plate. I don't recall exactly what we used there. I don't recall exactly what the spec was on the clutch pack, other than it was to factory tolerances and used factory pressure plate & apply plate.

I'm VERY pleased so far. Glad I didn't put in any further shift kit parts / modify the valve body. It shifts LIGHTENING fast and REALLY grabs the gear. Honestly, it shifts too fast & hard. I'm working in HP Tuners to tweak shift pressures / timing and or reduce engine torque so I can smooth the shifts a bit. I'm worried it'll break something. In least, it is loosing traction it shifts so fast on the dirt. FYI ~ I also have a mildly built 6.0L.

The pump upgrades, the Sonnax pin-less accumulator pistons, and Corvette Servo REALLY woke it up. In hindsight it didn't seem to take too much deviation from factory to build this up. Not sure I needed it but that 4L79 input drum, along with Sonnax input & output shafts, and perhaps a OEM 5 pinion planetary would have really made this a beast.

UDPATE: Transmission is still running STRONG. I'm slowly but surely tuning it. Having to dial back shift pressures a bit. The 1 to 2 upshift is VERY quick and harsh. Been able to slowly but surely tune some of that harsh shift out. The 2 to 3 is VERY quick and firm too. I can notice it but it's not so annoying. I can also notice 3 to 4 but just slightly. It's shifting MUCH more firm that my original transmission and seems to be running cool too despite I've yet to install my true cool transmission cooler.

That's great news. Enjoy it, there's not many things more satisfying than knowing that you built a great shifting transmission.

I'm thinking of building two more. I have parts for at least one. I'm thinking I'd not change much in my recipe other than possibly; input & output shafts, and planetary set if anything.

Really fun project. I couldn't have done it without all this help. @Kfxguy was a tremendous help. He spent quite a while on phone with me to walk me through things that I couldn't figure out on my own and had some parts to help when some of mine were not salvageable. I had a blast building my 6.0 / LQ9 but I think this was even more fun. Possibly easier to swap the transmission than the motor too, especially as it is a truck.

Still good? I read every post lmao. Getting ready for a build. Your the same anxious guy I am about these things, and you already got a lot of that anxiety out of the way for me lol.
