Anybody have these bore plugs stick before? I got another valve body here and cannot get out the Converter Valve the plug is stuck. It will slide partway out then the second part of the bore plug (inner) catches on outer bore of case.

Yup. Soak it liberally with WD40. Let it sit. Then work at it. Dont get rammy
The TCC lockup solenoid doesn't have a provision to lock in the filter screen. It's a different style from factory. Anybody know where I can get a filter screen for solenoid?
No provision to lock in the filter screen / doesn't fit all the way in. TCC Solenoid filter screen from kit
I it didn't come with a screen I wouldn't worry about it. I run them all of the time without it.
If I ever have a problem do I risk metal shavings going through the rest of the transmission?
I looked quite a bit and seems they are all making earlier style solenoid that has screen filter in case. Or does this have a screen built into it somewhere?
All the pieces are put together! Minus haha a pan gasket and the filter. Curious, my pan is missing the magnet. Is there somewhere to get pan magnets from?
Also there's no dipstick limit bracket. I'm assuming this newer pan style doesn't need that?
Got caught up in work again. Just now able to resume my project. I'm getting ready to swap the transmission into my truck. Curious if there's any little last minute checks I can do with it assembled.
I was double checking the sprags were installed correctly... Which way should I be able to spin the input and the output? And in which gears?
1,2,3 forward sprag?
not sure how output sprag works from perspective of case. facing rear of case I can spin the output shaft counter clockwise.
Any other sanity checks as it will be in truck hopefully by end of next week.
Transmission is in the truck. Each week I get a few hours where I can work on it... Hopefully will be spinning it soon! I just need to reinstall exhaust, driveshafts, hookup and torque down transfer case, put fluid in it, and lastly a little tuning before I can run down the road.
Anybody know what specs are on the bolt for bracket that routes fuel lines & harness?
It's really small, I seem to have lost it... M8 x 1.25? No clue... It's not super critical but I need to get a bolt for there when I go to ACE next.
Well it's in and works like a champ. Between work (I'm self employed, two businesses, and three jobs) and ordering parts took WAY longer than I'd ever hoped.
In full disclosure, I didn't modify the valve body. I know we had a heated debate on that here but had my reasons, and is simple enough to change mind on / build another valve body. I'm glad I didn't modify the valve body. It shifts like it means it, quickly and firmly. Maybe a bit too firmly but I think I can dial that down in the computer / tune.
Pulls a bit differently off the line. I assume because of torque converter. I got a Circle D 278.
Anyways, some closure to this really long post. Thanks everybody for the tips, conversation, and participating.
Now I'm onto a steering gearbox and transfer case build
Great job Weiner! Drive it a while & let us know if anything changes.
It'll take me a while to decide on a few things before I get mine together, as I'm being--well--no cooler or lines threads!! I wanted to do a thread about the $5 fitting I made, but it may have to wait. But I had a guy who delivered my Walmart groceries ask if I wanted to sell the XUV. I asked if he knew what it was and if he knew what the roof does and he said YES. When I told him I'm rebuilding the trans and deciding on the lines he asked who's doing the install & I said I don't have anybody yet. He says his bro-in-law did that for a living but got laid off recently, so I may have someone to R&R it, but I'd want to be there when it goes down. He said I can pay when the job's done....

I'm happy that it worked out to your satisfaction. I took you a while but you stuck with it, good job.
@bbond105 thanks man. Was a really fun project. I hope to someday to a build video on my truck but I'm CONSTANTLY busy trying to run business. I've done a bunch, nearly completely dismantled everything right down to the radio and rebuilt it. Last remaining items to build are the steering gear box and the transfer case. Then I'll have rebuild or replaced all systems on the truck.
I have a C5 Corvette that's been neglected though. It needs a little work, I keep fidgeting with this truck haha. Corvette is lightening fast. It's awesome. Anyways, thanks for all the awesome help.

Hope yours stays together for a million miles!
I have the largest Tru-Cool cooler on my shelf in the garage. I too need to install it. I saw a post somewhere where they take the old cooler line, cut it, turn it around and quick coupler connect it. Apparently it works. I think you can find that post if you do a google search. Otherwise PM me. I don't like connects and would want to braise line for one solid line. I also didn't like placement in that post. Otherwise, it came with rubber lines you can use, which are pretty simple to rig up.
On another note, transmission temperatures. They were very similar to the transmission I removed so I think a cooler is important / would be helpful for sure. I just need to find time to get mine on the truck.
