4l60e pin adjustment
Hello everyone. I was wondering if I could get a little advice on my 2-4 servo pin adjustment. I bought the GM longest pin, and got it to .105 on my dial indicator. The question I have is did I do it right? I set the dial against the cover, slowly turned my clamp in until it stopped, zeroed the gauge, and backed of the clamp, and I had .105 travel. I filed about .30 thousand off the pin, and polished the tip nice and flat/round. And .105 was what I ended up with. The drum turns good, and does not drag, but still looks awful close.
Thanks.

Thanks fella's. I got home tonight, and started messing with it again. I think I figured out something else. I have been checking this with the pump out, and noticed the drum would move. So I put the pump in, and now I can just get the snap ring in so I guess I need to take a bit more off the pin. What do ya'll think?

Great info! Thanks everybody. I have another thought. I have seen videos with that special tool that some builders use to set the pin length where you have to use an inch pound torque wrench, and set to 98 in. lbs. That got me thinking...how much pressure do you put on the outside cap of the servo? I mean you could put enough on it to bust the cover. Anybody got any ideas?
Thanks again,
