Anyone in/near Chicago know if they are still in business? I've tried calling the phone number a number of times and get a "not in service" message. Their website looks current though, and I don't see anything online that they are no longer in business. I emailed them as well with no response back. Just wondering if anyone can confirm?

Do not believe so. i am from illinois, lived in addision and elgin area the first 17 years of my life. Google says Permanently closed. All of my family besides me still lives in addison. I called and asked and they drove by and said no they are not. What a shame cuz i wanted a trans

 

That sucks if it's true. Chuck was a good guy to deal with and their transmissions were very well built. I'm still running a level 3 4l60e that I got from them 10 years ago and it's never missed a beat.

He is STILL very much n business! I literally just spoke to him yesterday! His shop moved, went through a few cha, but he’s alive and shop is doing well.

 

That is great to hear!
I've met him, learned a lot from him, was impressed by his equipment to resurface pumps and perform a final test, and know that customers have been very happy with his work. But nearing retirement age.

 

Someone else told me recently about possibly being done. Glad that is a rumor as Chuck and son offer a good product. If his son is not carrying on the business that’d be a shame.

Unfortunately I could never reach them so I went elsewhere.

 

I have dealt with Chuck in the past and he is a great guy!
