Default Why does this cooler say NOTE: The kit is not suitable for operation below 32 degree

"NOTE: The kit is not suitable for operation below 32 degrees Fahrenheit...."

Why would a trans cooler say this warning?

Amazon Amazon

Thanks.

Probably because transmission hardware likes transmission fluid to be above that minimum temperature for best operation and long life.

(Note: The transmission cooler mounting kit is not suitable for operation below 32 degrees Fahrenheit)
Probably because of the supplied hose. Could be a very 'cheap' hose and becomes brittle (will leak) at cold temperature.

Think space shuttle o-rings circa 1986. Some materials don't like cold weather.

Metals included.

'The ductile to brittle transition temperature is strongly dependant on the composition of the metal. Steel is the most commonly used metal that shows this behaviour. For some steels the transition temperature can be around 0°C, and in winter the temperature in some parts of the world can be below this.'

Unless this part involves gallium, I don't think normal temperatures that humans subject themselves to will be an issue with any other metals, lol. Unless you want to start the first annual Antarctic drag racing association.

I think the way this is worded was a mistake and they are referring the cooler without a thermostat. I am seeing more and more grammar and other mistakes in news and other print these days. Seems no one is proof reading before going to print.

I think I have said this in one of your threads that I have installed this cooler on a drag car and that it is a nice cooler.

Probably not suitable below 32*means if not plumbed through with the radiator. The fluid might stay too cool. Many items from China are not described very well.
