Default 4l60e speed sensor / reverse manual valve body

Is there a way to wire an aftermarket, digital speedometer, to the speed sensor on the 4l60e ? By installing a manual valve body, will it essentially turn the 4l60e into a 700r4. (No pcm required to use)

There are kits to add a generic GM sensor to them. Advanced adapters/Novak/Jags that run..
Or if you use the stock 2wd tail-shaft housing its got a VSS on it, stock GM.

Regardless of the Transmission Model Definitions (for the THM700-R4 and 4L60E/ 65E/ 70E/ 75E) there is NO way to convert a 4L60E/ 65E/ 70E/ 75E into a THM700-R4 Transmission.

Not trying to per say. From what I know they’re both the same, just The 700r4 I believe is hydraulic / vacuum controlled. Curious if I can use a sequential shifter and reverse manual valve body and will no longer need to have pcm for the transmission to use it.

full manual is just that...manual shift
No PCM required

You'll have to move the shifter for each gear, it won't shift itself

Thats what I am hoping for ! I did not know if the transmission demanded anything else computer related. I am not worried about controlling lock up with the converter I am getting. I think the 0 pump and the 086 stater come out to be 94 percent efficient.

What Valve-Body are you using?

I have converted Stock Valve-Bodies to Forward Full-Manual Shift...
It is a pain in the ***.

OHhhhhhh it's not THAT bad

It's even easier if you have a handful of wire crimps and a 5 pin relay

Just the stock solenoid controlled valve body.
