Will a 2wd transmission from a 2005 Silverado plug and play in my 2000 gmc sierra with no modifications

The Silverado is a 5.3 and my gmc is a 4.8 will they plug and play

Got a question about the 4l60e 2wd transmission I would like to know if the transmission from a 05 Silverado 5.3 plug and play into my 00 gmc sierra 4.8 can’t seem to find a straight forward answer anywhere
and yes both trucks are 2wd

Are both Vehicles Two Wheel Drive?

A Four Wheel Drive 4L60E Family Transmission will NOT directly swap with a Two Wheel Drive 4L60E Family Transmission.

I have a question I have a 2000 gmc sierra 4.8 2wd will a transmission from a 2005 Chevy Silverado 5.3 work in my truck I’m trying to just plug and play

I think so. As long as the electrical plug on the right-hand side are the same.

yes I knew that I’m just wondering if an 05 Chevy Silverado 2wd will plug and play in my 00 gmc sierra 2wd or are the wire harnesses different

I’ve read the thread and from what I’ve read and seen then I should be able to go from 05 to 00 with no issues but cannot go from 00 to 05 correct?
