4L60E no shift after rebuild
We have a 60E from a '98 Z28 that we had rebuilt. It worked fine when we pulled it but it had high miles and we decided we should have it done. We bought all new parts including shift solenoids (Rostra Precision Controls) and manifold pressure switch (AC Delco). I can't remember if we purchased a new internal harness or not but again the trans worked fine before rebuild. Trans is swapped into a '90 S10 using a flashed stock ECM and a custom harness from Current Performance that retains the factory S10 dash functions. It only has first and reverse and will not shift. It does have trans codes and they are
P0740 Torque Converter Clutch Solenoid Circuit / Open
P0748 Pressure Control Solenoid A Electrical
P0753 Shift Solenoid A Electrical
P1860 TCC PWM Solenoid Circuit Electrical
To me that seems like a like of codes for a unit with all new electrical except maybe the harness. Anyone have any ideas where we should start to figure this out?

Are you sure it's 1st and reverse? Not 3rd and reverse?
if it's 3rd and reverse that's indicative of no power to the transmission
Could you have possibly plugged the harness in backwards? it's difficult but possible.
OR fuse to the trans is bad, etc
Otherwise, just 1st and reverse is likely the VSS not plugged in or reading

Thanks for the replies. We'll check all of that this evening. I'm not actually sure if it's 1st and reverse or 3rd and reverse. My son actually did the test drives and he assumed it was first.
Morning Frank. Where exactly is this pin e? I'm not familiar.
If you look at the codeP0740, P0753 or P1860, PDF file I up loaded for you it explains where pin "E" is. The P0748 is for the PCS or EPC solenoid and involves pin's "C" & "D"
