Default 4l80e 2nd Gear slipping

Trans only has maybe 500 miles on it but second trip to the track since some internal upgrades including BTE pro mod drum w/36 tooth sprag. Already had billet shafts and rollerized and extra clutches. 1st trip went well and ran a 5.79.. this time not so well..
Below is datalog.. it shifted to 3rd at 58mph. then downshifted to 2nd and back to 3rd. Holley WOT shift was set for 6700 2-3 shift but based on speed I guess it went back to shift tables and downshifted. With 3.7 gear and 27.8 tall tire it should be running about 97mph at that rpm in 2nd..

It is coming out tonight, any suggestions/thoughts for what to look at?

My best guess is case blew out lugs at backing plate and band is trying to act as second by itself .

I hit my rev limiter at 7500 on burnout and out of habit flipped it to 2nd gear.. after poking around I think this is what did me in. Took apart lat night and no hard part damage but smoked intermediate frictions. Lesson learned on burnout for sure.. going to build a stupid button in holley for the burnout.

Flipping it to second duringa burnout should not have fried the frictions. Many actually do the Burn out in second. I would look deeper IMO

burnout in 2nd didn't hurt the frictions.
Especially not in just 1 attempt doing it.

It wasn't the 2nd gear burnout I think it was hitting 7500 in first and shifting to 2nd in burnout. heavy car, high rpm and 15psi of boost? I haven't found anything else. Open to suggestions, no hard parts broken I can find and everything else looks good. I am not a transmission guy by any stretch but looking to learn.

Any suggestions.. it appears to have been in 2nd and at gaining mph but slowly so I assume slipping somewhere?

I would say look for leaks and check presures also consider a rear feed pickup and deep pan .

Thanks Frank.. I have a Moroso deep pan on it.. the rear feed might be interesting, will see what I can find. My line pressure was 180's the whole run, does it need to be higher than that you think?

AT wot I like to see at least 220 psi on an 80e. 180 psi is only marginally higher that stock. Some go as high as 250 but i worry about the case lugs and if WOT 4th the top of the 4th set . I would make sure 1 max line in tune is 99. some put in higher numbers but My own experience noting I tune a 95 impala with OBD1 the pressure actually drops .
Also consider a stiffer PR spring or a trick I use that always yields 220 is a stock 4l60e spring added to the existing springs. Does not seem to change 0 throttle pressures but jumps the WOT 0.00 AMP pressure control WOT line to about 220 every time and fits right in there.
Another thing but its just a preference is I like using non waffled carbon frictions in these as there is more actual surface area to hold though in theory less cooling but less slip also equals less heat.
And if possible of course retaining the cushion wave use a 400 thick steel at bottom of pack as first steel and make sure your backing plate is flat use lathe if available to verify this I always do a cut just to make sure or to get that little extra to get that 400 plate in if necessary . IMO the thicker 400 plate makes for a more even apply. Of course make sure all steels are flat..

It may not be slipping it may be Holley skip shifting to 3rd, which is a known issue.
