Default 4L80 shift question

When in 1st gear, my 4L80 shifts to second gear. I don't want it to do that. I want it to hold the gear it is in. My last one was like that.
Any tips on what to do. I am using the same tune for the "new" 4L as the old trans. I would rather do it internally than change the tune.
Thanks

That's absolutely controlled by the tune unless you use a full manual VB.

Agreed.
That is 100% tune-controlled unless there has been a major vb change

Its a super easy fix in the tune if you have HP tuners or know someone who does. or if older 93 to 96 Tunercat otherwise Transgo kit

I have HPTuners. I have seen the write up on Gen 3 computers using the Urban shift. I have a Gen 4 E38 and 2006 4L80. The Tune does not have the urban shift button. Is that the same as D2 ? I have Normal, D1, D2---Pattern A, D2---Pattern B, D2. Pattern B has the D2 populated with all 318 and not let it shift. Pattern A, D2 has all 0's except the last two cells. Is this where I need to shut off the shifting?
Thanks !!

Well if you're trying to get it to hold in D1...then you should look at the D1 table

Sadly I am not that familar with HP in tuner cat its simply in a table that has M1 **** point and I just change it 100 mph and if you want to be able to downshift manually at any speed another place that shows max downshift to m1 speed .
Beyond that you will need someone with HP to answer that question.

Take a datalog and doublecheck everything
Log solenoids, tps, speed, and recognized shift position

SImple, put the gear selector in the "1" position.

LOL---not on a 4L80
I put 318 in the D2 box and now it doesn't shift to second gear.
