Angry 1993 camaro 2005 4l60e swap

Hopefully this is the correct place to post about this, but I have a 1993 camaro, swapped a 2005 L59 5.3 into it. ls1 front end conversion. I have a 2005 4l60e as well that i have just installed. From my understanding the 1993 was pretty much a standalone year when it came to its transmission. It basically had a 700r4. I was under the impression the 4l60e was the same dimensions so I thought it would bolt up perfectly, which it did, kinda... It bolted to the engine with plenty of room in the trans tunnel, but the crossmember will not align with the frames crossmember threads. About 2 inches off. I see a aftermarket crossmember for a 1993-1997 camaro for a 4l60e from BMR, but I would guess its for the 1993 "4l60" so I don't think it would even align. Am I going to have to fabricate one to get it to work or is there a aftermarket option I'm not seeing? Been dealing with this issue for a couple weeks and really need some help, would appreciate any advice or any knowledge anyone has about this. I cannot find a forum where someone swaps in a newer 4l60e into a 1993 camaro LT1 car, especially with a 5.3 and ls1 front end swap. Thanks!

I would call them and ask them if they have what you're looking for.

You need a 98-02 Fbody Auto Crossmember.

appreciate the response merv! i had thought that as well, but i was told that the bolt holes on the frame for the crossmember is in a different location for the 98-02. is that not the case?

It might be, I don't remember on that one. Did my 1995 Z28 with a 408ci LS & Built T56 6spd, the 93-97 T56 Crossmember worked fine but the T56 didn't change the mount location like the 4L60E did if I remember right. Might have to modify the Crossmember you have.

will look into modifying the one i have. maybe will just weld a perch to it and support it and call it a day. not how i'd like it to be but you dont always get what you want with swaps. thanks for the insight!

With the 4L60E the newer style is 2" back more away from the Pan, at least you don't have to make something to conform around a different Pan shape.

will this alter how long the driveshaft has to be? will it need to be shortened or lengthened to comply with the 2" difference in size? or do you mean there's just a 2" difference in where its placed, not actual length?

Mount is 2" to the rear, all 4L60E Transmissions are the same length.
