Default B&M neutral safety switch

Has anybody ever installed one of these on a 4th gen fbody ls1 4l60? My build is finally 99% done after a long winter and dealing with the nss is all that needs done before I can bring it to life. Installed a b&m shifter and it came with the b&m switch but lacked instructions.

Figure out what two wires you need off the factory Shifter Switch and just hook them to the B&M Switch.

Mine has the plunger type connection ( not sure that's the right term) . Are the wires your referring to just before the Grey mounting tabs on the factory switch?

Is the wiring for the factory Shifter still intact anywhere in that car?

It's all still there just been disconnected and tucked under dash. Air bag module was taken out. I could have swore what you see just to the left of shifter was the factory connection for the nss. I could be wrong It's been 4 months since we took this thing apart.

To the left of the Shifter is the factory Shift Cable from the looks.

Find that wiring and might have to get a schematic. I know the brown and lime green wires next to each other are for the Reverse Lights.

no factory shift cable went through hole in tunnel right in front of shifter. That runs along driver side floor and through the firewall above brake pedal.

This is factory harness that went into shifter/console .Yellow is airbag..the switch at top is tcs. So one of the 2 wire connectors between tcs and airbag sensor? I assume one is for reverse lights?

There ya go. Lime Green & Brown are for the Reverse Lights, Black/White is the Ground, Orange might be 12v in it's been a while since I've seen that schematic.

the purple and green are what is needed to be connected to get the starter to engage. The lime green and brown were the reverse lights. Ill probably throw these on a simple toggle switch possibly the nss too just to remind me to check instead of leaving it bypassed. This is a 90% track car .

I looked at the wrong diagram, you are correct. Sorry for the misinformation. The Orange & black wire and Black & White wires that I said are for the start circuit are for the Park/Neutral reference to the PCM. Again, sorry for the confusion this may have created.

no worries ..this is the first time ive ever had one of these cars apart to this extent and it's been 4+ months since the interior was all removed. I dug around and had a heck of a time finding much and none referenced a 6 wire connector like mine. Building this thing has definitely made me appreciate the 2nd gen so much more!

Yup that's why I told you to look for something with that brown and lime green wire. I've converted a few of these to 6spd Manual and that whole wiring bunch goes away.

Even my Haines manual fails to refrence that connector. The only thing it has listed for the park/neutral switch is an orange and black wire. Can get pretty confusing pretty quick.
