The Baltimore Company went out of business. There is a another company that had the same or nearly the same name, maybe in CA.?

They ripped several members off here including myself 1 year ago. Basically they took the money and literally closed the shop and left everyone hanging. I filed a complaint with the MD Attorney General with no luck who could not find out anything on them. It was a very messy situation that tooks months to resolve (there was a sticky in this forum a looong time). So as he said above.. Don't buy it, there is no company to support it if it breaks.

I had a TCS 4200 that was amazing on motor but sucked on nitrous so I changed it for a smaller Vig. My son is running 6's in the 1/8th with his TCS3800 in his 99 Z28 which his pregnant wife uses as her daily driven work car. I have another friend with a TCS4200 in his stock internal Camaro which runs mid 7s in the 1/8th. However, since they have been out of business for some time I would hesitate to buy a used TCS convertor unless I knew the seller personally.

A guy I used to work with had one. It worked well for him for about a 6 months, then he sent it to Yank to be restalled. After the restall/rebuild its a great converter. I would not get one unless it was REAL cheap.

I fell in to one used pretty cheaply. I'm curious why you wouldn't get one used?

Because originally they had a warrenty. Now that the company isn't around anymore, you're going to have to pay if you need it serviced and you're going to have to go to another company.

I've got one I'm waiting to put in. But I got a good deal on it with a built 4l60e (guy was going th400). And I saw his car run at the track with this convertor..I know what it was doing in his car.

We sold our 4200 used to someone for only $300 or $400, even though we thought it was worth more than with very low miles and track passes, but considering what happened with the company we didn't have much choice. The converter we had ROCKED actually, but because we got a Yank we decided to take it out and sell it. Never had any issues with it and it actually produced some pretty good times and 60' in the car.

I've got the TCS that CamaroCain sold. No problems whatsoever, been in the car for 6 months now. It's an awesome converter. If you can find one cheap, go for it.

Got any track times yet on the new combo in your sig, i would be interested in knowing how the converter works with that setup. Glad to hear the converter is working well for you.

you can always send your TCS to TCI to have it rebuilt. i think they work on anyones converters. just remember if it falls apart and trashes your tranny you will be buying both. Search for pics of the inside of the tcs 'verter

I have a TCS 3800 2.5str.. Went 11.85 on stock motor. Once I put my turbo on, etc. the motor was making too much power for it... for a N/A car which is what mine was designed for, they're really good. But since the company is kaput, forgedaboutit.

We just put in the new suspension goodies and Kooks headers, I'm still running the stock 10 bolt. Trying to get a 12 bolt and some new slicks, new times hopefully by the end of the month.

So is the consensus that they are good converters just the big issue is there's no company anymore?
