Quickest @ the track;
1 Yank PT 4000
2 TCI SSF 4000
3 Yank SS 4000
4 TCI SSF3800
5 Yank SS 3800
Loosest feel on the street ;
Same order as above
Hardest hitting off the line;
Same order again
Highest MPH @ the track;
Same order again
I will be adding Stage 2 heads and was considering stepping up to one of these converters to compliment them. My main concern is my 3.73 10 bolt with ET Streets. I'm thinking the 10 bolt will hold up to any of these verters except the PT4000. Am I mistaken?

I'm not sure that the TCI 4000 will out mph the Yank SS series but I would put the YTP 4000 at the top in terms of performance and loosenes. I'd do the YTP 4200 if you are willing to go that way.
The SS4000 should actualy hit harder than the YTP 4000. All 5 are capable of breaking an an axle, differential or gears at the track with ET streets.

I thought that because the TCI 4000 is looser than the SS 4000 it would provide more shift extension and therefore more MPH. I'm a little fuzzy on the efficiencies between those two converters though. I think the YPT4000 or YPT4200 would be too loose for my tastes. You remember how conservative I am with that.
I'm leaning towards the TCI 3800 or Yank SS3800.I know the SS3800 would feel tighter than the TCI 3800 but would the TCI 3800 really feel tighter than the SS4000?
Its a great street / strip converter..

It seems looser than the Vig 3600 that i had before it.
I have not broken anything at the track with E/T Streets(Yet), and i have had this vertor for more than 1 year. With lots of Nitrous launches and quite a lot of street use/abuse.
I even have a picture of my car showing air under the front tire(s) on it's way to a 1.54 60ft .
It would be better for loosness with your 3:73 gears,for sure.
Best track time with full weight and stock internals (N/A) is a 12.2 @ 110.
I really like the convertor,just giving my 2 cents worth.

Looks like with the better 60 fts and the better shift extension I should get at least 2 tenths over my current Vig.
