Default upgrading my stall

okay right now im running a tci 3000, im about to uprade from teh stock cam and really need to run a 3500-3600 or so for the cam i want, im spraying, thats why i only went 3000 to begin with.. i will prolly just get the tci 3500 with a 3.73 gear.

I cant decide which yank or vig would be best, i hear they stall higher then there rated ect! which brand is best? not wanting to go overboard price wise!

any reccomendations? cam will prolly be a 233/239 tsp cam with spray though.. so i dont want like a 4400 stall b/c im spraying, even though streetability is not a concern.. thanks.

also ill be selling my tci 3000 that has about 3000 miles on it with no problems, and has only been sprayed twice, and only made about 4 passes at the track. anyone suggest a sale price? i paid 469$ i think, would 250 be a low or high asking price?

Yank Super Stock 3800. Hard hit off the line. Great on the spray. Very high efficiency. Probably the most well-rounded converter on the road (along with the SS 3600). Don't go less than a 3800 stall whoever makes your converter.

The SS4000E will be great for N2O and you 233/239. The shift extension drops enough to get the most out of the N2O. With the 4200-4600 stalls, the shift extension is too short for N20.

okay, so which vendor can i find them at? --------->

ls1speed and thunder had not a yank 3800 or 4000, just a race yank and a nos/boosted yank 3600.

also does vig make a 3800-4000 converter? there a bit cheaper.

Just go to Yank's website. They are a sponsor and the site is www.converter.cc and you can buy online.

The SS3600 and SS4000 are $775(shipped) and the Vig's are $734(+shipping). The SS Series will be more streetable and the PT Series. It is all in what you are looking for.

I did not like the SS3800 I had compared to the PT4000. Just my $.02 Seemed to sluggish for my taste. Especially in the mid range.
