Default TH350, TH400 and 200 Questions

Ok, thinking soon enough it will be time to swap out the trans...again. So, instead of fuking around with another 4L60/5E I might as well go with the beef.
From my understanding the efficiency ratings in order best to worst:
350
200
400

And power capability
400
200
350

Weight wise lightest to piggiest
350
200
400

I am going off memory and little bit of reading here so forgive me if I am not up to date. I was reading about the 200s built from one or two shops in the mainland handling over 1000hp and 900ftlbsin buicks but could work with a LS1 right? And the 350 to 400's? I am not pushing the envelope like Ronnie Duck or anything but looking for a solid low 9's on spray and trans brake friendly. Most likely Neil Chance TC, seems to be one of the best around. Anyway, let me hear it.

I believe the TH350's and 2004R's are very close in size. I am a big fan of the TH350's, but if you're car is going to see a lot of street miles, or is over 3200lbs I'd probably go TH400.

My goal for raceweight is 3300, with me and the bottles of Nitrous strapped in! I cant remember the shop that was doing the 200's, I thought they refered to them as 200c4s or something, saynig there was a difference in the 200 model line like the T56 with the WC and Non WC. Anyway. Just trying to get general knowledge from experienced users hopefully still a long way off from having to replace another trans.

I'd argue that the TH350 is stronger than the 200R4 Unless were talking about the grand national 200. One of the glory points of a TH400 and TH350 is they've already made a name for themselves as far as stout performance and how much HP they can handle. I've seen rebuilt Th350's (thats it just a rebuild), push a car with 340 RWHP and a nice size shot out of the hole. TH400's are another type of monster. If your looking for just the "beef" and not settling for overdrive I'd base my decision around the TH350 and TH400 building the 2 can be much cheaper than the 200R4

The builer you are thinking of for the 200-4r is Century Transmissions and the guys name Mike Kurtz.

TSP was running a 200-4r from Century in their 10.20 car.

I am running a 200-4r from Del-trans in my car running 10.7's and sprayinfg through the shifts with the old NXL 120 shot.

If it is a street driven car the 200-4r has OD which is nice. There are mixed results on how long they will last. I havent had any problems so take it for what you will.

93LS1RX7- Yeah Century, Dynotech, FLP are three of the major 200r4 Builders under the Hi-Po Listings. Century and Dynotech have 9sec proven trans, and depending on reliability is what I may go for. Yeah I like to drive my car as much as possible, daily and to work or the store, but I want to race it too.

And what about Rossler, does he do any hi-po 200's?
