Dropped a full second in the 1/4 too with only half throttle in first (Traction issues)
Can't wait to get traction in the spring, 200 pounds out of the car and another 15RWHP or so

Gues the catalog needs revision. Sorry for the misinfo!
I am happy with my TH350 from Yank, but if I had it to do over again, I'd prolly go with an Art Carr 700R4. George Baxter uses one in his blown 25th Ann Camaro and runs low 9's. If you want, I will scan the info from their catalog for you when I go home (not much info on their web site).

i dont know where you got your info from but George has been using a TH400 with a gear vendors o/d unit for a while and just recently he is just using the TH400 with a brake and ditched the gear vendors because of weight issue
I talked to George about it at the track about 5 weeks ago, and he said that the 700R4's were blowing left and right.
The TH400 is the strongest one I have seen yet!
Ryan my cheetah shifter pics are gonna be up tonight I think.

it's bitch that GM didnt put a 4l80e in our cars...

be happy they didn't put them in our cars. There aren't a whole lot of aftermarket parts available for them and they weigh a freaking ton and are not optimized for drag racing. i **** you not when i say the stock converter in those things weigh close to 80lbs.
If you want the ultimate tranny combo and have the money to spend on it, go with a TH400 and a gear vendors o/d unit. expensive, but you now have a 6 speed auto that'll probably never break
