how much did it cost to get your stall installed? just wondering for a friend, thanks

I would say 400 - 500 bucks, the will need to drop the transmission then put it back. Your area may be better priced then what cost me to have a shop drop my transmission then install another one.

I paid 250 at the local Chevy dealer about 3 years ago, including replacing the front seal. Didn't have anyplace to work 'cept on the ground and I'm getting too old for that stuff.

No more then 250 with a tranny cooler installed. Ever consider doing it yourself? Its not terriable hard...

$200 - $350 depending upon prices in your area. Figure less than 3 hours for a mechanic who has done them before and has the right tools. Allow 5 hrs for a mechanic doing it for the first time. Throw in the cost of fluid and you've got your price.

I paid 350 for TC and shift kit install, but they kept the car overnight because it took a while. I can't complain it was done right and I had no problems.
