Question wheel Hop or ?

I recently had my A4 rebuilt and had the Z pack clutches installed and now I have this popping or knocking noise that feels like it is under the drivers floorboard. I experince this when I take off easy and floor it about 3000 rpm when it gets around 5 to 5500 this noise occures. If you half the gas pedal and let it shift around 4500 I don't feel or hear it. I have checked all mounts and all torque arms bolts and had it back to the transmission shop on the rack and made them double check anything that was removed during the rebuild. No ses lites and no error codes and damn if I can figure this one out!
Could this be the wheel hop I have heard about? The convertor seems tighter than before and when it shifts it shifts.............all right this is my 6th Camaro but the only one that has whooped me!

When you dropped the trans I reckon they had to drop the
exhaust and this is your most likely culprit. Rehanging the
Y-pipe wants a lot of careful shim-and-jack work to be
bump-free.

I asked the transmission shop about that and they said they did not disconnect any exaust pipes duing the rebuild. I have good clearance around the Y but I will recheck the hangers. I am about ready to put it on a dyno strap it down and see what is happening anyone close to Fayetteville NC ?

I had a similar problem when my friend was driving my car and broke the tranny mount. If you go real easy nothing went wrong but if you put a lot of gas on it then the tranny would smack against the y-pipe. If ur mounts aren't broken tho then I would think it's the y-pipe.

The mount sits on top of the crossmember so you might
want to try lifting the tailshaft as a test, instead.
