Default N20 with the yank PT4400?

well my options have changed and now im looking into the fm9 cam (232"/236" .585"/.600" 114LSA ) with a direct port of about 150-200 shot... will this converter still work or do i need to go a head and send it back and exchange it?

Can it work? Sure it can. But I believe it's by far not the best converter for that application. I think the PT4400 is an N/A converter if I'm not mistaken.

right i had other plans for the longest time to go N/A but my plans have changed... just wanted to make sure I didn't need this converter for spraying. so i guess it'll be the yank SS4000e?

If you're serious about the 200 shot, get a converter to match it.

I've got the PT4000 and Yank told me that my converter was going to get really loose really fast if I sprayed the car. They also told me shift extensions of 6400 RPM+ on my PT4000 if I sprayed it (5600-5800 RPM on the motor). I cannot imagine what a PT4400 would be. They also told me that the PT series really wasn't the best for N20. If you spray that converter, I hope you've got a really solid valvetrain.

well im lost on what these guys do that run unstreetable cam setups that make no lowend, that spray 200-250 shots. surely there not running a 3200 converter and leaving the line at a measily 3200rpms where there power band is non exsistant, so how do u do both?

If you want big stall and to spray, get a SS3800E, etc.. They have a low shift extension and high STR. It'll be perfect for spraying and will also get you out of the hole nicely.
