Um, what did you do differently?
Here's the weird thing about mine. It ONLY hits the rev limiter with Nitto DR's. I have run it with both 16" and 17" Nitto DR's on it and it hits the limiter. It does NOT hit the limiter on ET Streets, BFG DR's, or on my Kumhos on the street. Figure that one out. I'm gonna make some passes in OD on my Nitto DR's this weekend in Eunice and see what happens.

ATAP goes to 6000-6100 in 2nd so I'm not sure if moving shift points would matter. ????
Always leave it in OD. For some reason my tranny acts like a manual when I manually shift it. I put it in 2nd and it starts off in 2nd. Weirdness. One run I decided to stick it in D on the line and I like to hold the shifter with one hand and drive with the other. I nailed it and the momentum pulled my hand back and into 2nd. It went from 1st to 2nd 5ft off the line.
Fluid is good.

Starting in 2000, second gear start was added.
I don't know why it works, but it definitely works. I gotta find someone bracket racing this weekend because my car was deadly consistent yesterday! I ran three 12.68 passes, one 12.69, one 12.73 when I hotlapped it, and one 12.84 when it hit the limiter on the last pass. Shows you how much it really does hurt your ET...
