Question about 3.73's paired with a SY3500

Re: Question about 3.73's paired with a SY3500
I don't have that combo but let me suggest:
1) your dyno #'s should be pretty much unchanged. 3.73s may cause a slight loss of HP on the dyno, but the SY's efficency will make that up.
2) you should be able to achieve your desired track gains, especially if you have good tires.

Re: Question about 3.73's paired with a SY3500
The SY 3500 should be worth .4-.5 reduction in ET and the 3.73 gears will be worth another tenth. That's .5-.6 gain...not bad.
If you haven't bought the SY3500 yet, you may also want to consider the ST3500 converter. You'll drop .5-.6 in the quarter with 3.23 gears alone...plus keep your gas mileage and dollars from the gear swap (plus programming costs). You can always add 3.73 gears later, but on the ST3500, they'd only be worth about .05 in ET (that's HALF a tenth).

No dyno numbers here, but it is a GREAT combo on the street. I can pull cars like a **** off the line with pretty good traction rolling into it. Tires still totally go up in smoke with the sy3500 and 3.73's. Really good shift extension too, some say its a week converter, but its awesome with 3.73's. Dont regret this at all.

Question about 3.73's paired with a SY3500
I currently have 3.23 gears and am in the process of adding 3.73 gears and a SY3500 over the next few months. I figure I will net about 5-6 tenths by swapping for the above combo.
Does anyone have track or dyno numbers from doing the exact swap?
Thanks
