The only person I know using this 'verter is my friend Pete (ZNOEVIL on this board). He has an LT1 thought, so it's not exactly comparable.

But he certainly has no complanits with it, if that helps any

It will give you more from a roll, especially on the 1-2 upshift. Y3000 is a good street converter for 3.23s.

You might also consider a SuperThruster 3200/3300. It will be not much looser than your Stealth 3200 but will retain more bottom end than the Y3000 and increase your shift extension nicely.

I run a Y3200 and it's awesome for street and strip. I can peel of 1.80 60ft's and still have
excellent streetability.

Y3200 is similar to the Y3000 but stall raised and STR lowered. Kinda like the baby brother to the SY 3500.

ST3200/3300 will feel tighter because of the higher STR.

I ran a Yank 3000 before switching to a PI 3600 and the converter worked really good with 3.23 gears..It will work well from a roll like what you wanting to use it for..

The Yank 3000 was the first of 11 converters for me and still remains one of my favorites. It is extremely well rounded...good launch, good shift extension, and good top-end efficiency. I upgraded from the Yank 3000 to the Super Yank 3500 and only picked up about .05 in ET.

Patrick how would the y3000 compare to what I have now? I think the only way im going to get what i want out of this car is with the SY3500 3.73 combo or a five speed auto Which is unavailable. I dont want any bogs anytime, any speed. I hate having 330hp in the bank and only able to get to 150hp of it when i need 330.Very embarrasing when little rice burners pull on you when you are at 35 or 40mph or 75 or 80mph and the car is flat.

The Y3000 will help eliminate the dead spot at the bottom of second and third. The SY's longer shift extension will help more.

To get midrange gain which eliminates the dead spot and increases power from a roll, there's no substitute for a higher stall speed.

My T2800 was noticably faster from a roll than stock...
My ST3500 was noticably faster from a roll than my TT2800...
My YTP 4000 was noticably faster from a roll than my ST 3500...

The Y3000 will definitely help. The SY 3500 & 3.73s will be a significant improvement.

You have a different design from the typical f-body converter. Your converter's power curve behaves like a 2600 stall in an f-body, except that the bottom end is greater than a 2600. Gives you a very tight feeling and a good launch, but no real midrange.
