I did not have good experiences with Midwest. The converter always leaked and they have poor customer service. I would look to another vendor for a quality torque converter. Not sure about their "pro 10" version. I am sure it is not cheap and you might compare with other TC's of the same type.

If you are looking for a TC in this price range, I would give Fuddle Racing and call.

I'd go with what Blacker said, call Fuddle Racing. Ordered my 3500/2.5str from them last week and they said work should start on it by Monday.

I'll let everyone know in a few weeks after it gets here how it is

No leaks here. I've got only maybe 1000 mi. on it though so far. Where exactly does it leak?? The only opening I see to the outside world is the input shaft, which would leak because of the tranny seal. Does the converter crack or something on the outside?

And if you want to order a Midwest you can do it directly from them - do a google search. I have a 10" and it ran me about $510 w/shipping.

Mine had a hairline fracture in the front cover of the converter. If you have 1000 miles on it, you should be fine. Mine would leak immediately and progressively got worse when the car warmed up.

I ran high 11's n/a with a 3000/2.5str for about 9k miles without any problems in my lt1, but their customer service SUCKS. They dicked me around on my "free restall" and it took me almost a month and a half to get the converter shipped back to me after they told me it would be 3-4 days. After that experience I would NEVER go back to them again.

Mine has gone over 10,000 miles and 6 passes. About a year old now and it might have just went out. Trans is at the shop now. Should know in a couple of days. But no problems in the last year.

I would have to agree. I ordered Teusday and they said it would ship that Thursday. Called them the NEXT week and they said, "oh we will start building it on Thursday". So it took a week and a half longer than they said. I have no problem with that, BUT they could have been honest.
