I dunno, according to someone named Melissa they started working on it on the 8th, 7 days ago

I emailed asking for an estimate on the shipment timeframe but havent got a reply yet... I'm guessing these guys got a lot of orders with the GP price as it is.

Most cars will require some retuning to make any high stall perform its best. Mainly to do with part throttle, shift points, lock-up points and line pressures. The fact there is so much variation between cars when a stall is added leads me to think there is so much variation between the tunes, not the converter.

Something to keep in mind...

I agree 110 percent......

Sometimes it makes me wonder how much the STOCK tune from GM varies from one car to the next. Say corvette tune vs F-body tune, or GTO tune vs F-body tune........Or hell for that matter, how much it varies from like cars, say 98 F-body vs 02 F-body......

I just don't see it being possible to have a 3000+ converter on a stock tune and not have SOME KIND of issues with the stock programing....

I tuned on my car quite a bit to get my TCI 3000/2.2
to minimum slip / squealage and harmonize the lock /
unlock with the shiftpoints. The higher the stall speed,
the more you'll notice the lock/unlock at points below
it. On a stock car the stall is so low you usually just
don't.

At the track, who cares, it's all or nothing. Around town
an untuned car with a racing converter can be a little
bit Flintstones Meet The Jetsons.

I did speak with John and right now we have decided it is possibly the PWM(Puls Width Modulator). John is sending me a part to try and fix this problem so I will keep everyone posted

One thing I did to fight slip / chatter, was to set my
TCC PWM so that it's always 98% duty cycle. This
helps. But 98% of not-enough (that is the wimped-out
line pressure at light throttle, courtesy of Da General)
is not-enough. Still full-timing the TCC PWM really
shrinks the slip-prone region. You can do this with
hardware or tuning.

Basic fact is, a 10" converter clutch is not going to hold
the same torque as an 11" clutch, at the same pressure,
all other things being equal.

In your previous post, it sounded like a converter problem.. Im guessing Fuddle PM'd you or something. Knowing something was not right you still drove the car anyways?? Not a good idea.
I think you said that your tranny was or is new or rebuilt recently.. you ought to see if it has a warranty. hopefully it does so you can get it fixed now and the verter problem fixed as well.
Im hoping this doesnt happen to me..

Chummmma,
When did the converter start having the problems? Was it happening before your transmission went out?
John,
Did you ship the part out?

This is a false code, which happens on some cars when aftermarket converters are installed. Some PCMs find a problem with the smaller size of the aftermarket converter. It is a quick tuning fix with LS1Edit, HPTuners, etc. Also, many people have gotten rid of it just by resetting the PCM a few times.

Sounds like you need to let someone else work on your tranny. There is no reason why that should be a problem, or your lockup-happy problems should even exist. Whoever is building/rebuilding your trannies, or installing them, needs to be fired. If you're doing them yourself, please take it to a professional. I think you've got alot more than converter problems.
