ok every now and then (very infrequently) if im crusing in 4th gear at approxmately 70-90 mph and i go from part throddle to WOT the car will act like its free spinning and IMMEDIATELY bang the revlimiter... i want to stress it does not wind up and bang the rev-limiter it almost acts like its tring to drop a gear thats too low or as if it was thrown in netural right before i hit the gas. The fluid smells fine; but i havent droped the pan yet. Also the car has been tuned with hp tuners from a member of ls1 tech not by a shop...

could this just be the tuneing is off and the car is tring to drop a gear too low sometimes or can the sprag fail infrequently like this ???

My delimea is i was just about to install new converter and i dont want this thing to blow up after my converter install and damage my new converter... not to mention the waste of money installing a verter just to remove it a few weeks later
