how much to fix a Solenoid?

I think the last one I bought was $21 at the dealership. No need to drop the trans, just the pan is needed. Then unplug the solenoid, get a flathead screwdriver & remove the clip holding it in place, slide it out & put the new one in. It very simple. The only problem is that there are only two shift solenoids, each one is for two gears. I think the drivers side was 1st & 4th & the one on the Pass side was 2nd & 3rd. If im wrong then someone please correct me.

if it shifts fine normally, then it won't be the solenoids. while you have the pan down, take the 2nd gear accumulator piston out and see if it is cracked. the 2nd gear housing is the round tower looking thing with 3 bolts holding located on the rear passenger side of the trans. the piston is made out of plastic and is prone to splitting at the center where it rides on the pin. i had to replace it on mine. i also ended up replacing the forward accumulator which is on the driver's rear of the valve body.

when i floor it, it wont go into 3rd
