Default Highspeed tranny accident. Info please.

Hello I was on the highway going a good amount of speed up a hill incline. The car was in over drive. I tried to place the shifter into third but i accidently shifted into 2nd and banged the limiter. The the car seems to be acting normal. What damage did i do? The tranny temps did not rise very high only to about 160. i hope everthing will be okay.

if you didnt hurt the motor, you are fine. I have taken my tranny to 7300 rpms for 10 passes when I had 3.73 gears. If, anything you might have bent a few pushrods. If everything seems fine, keep on trucking!!!

Thanks for the replys. I was worried about it because i knew i was well over the speed of maxing out 2nd gear when i accdiently downshifted into 2nd trying to go to third from overdrive. i hope my tranny and my bottom end is ok. The motor doenst make any ticking our unordinary noises. I plan on swaping out the heads at the end of this month anyway.
Once again thank you everyone for reading.
