Looking to see how the different types mount to the car. Also any opinion on the type you use, good points, bad points, etc. TIA

I've got the Global West also and they fit great and out of the way. 2" tubular and I've used them as left points many times. I HAVE on occassion had 3 tires off the ground with one floor jack. Not on purpose but it freaked my neigbor out.

Black Sunshine/ 00SS...Hey, can you tell me the parts and any modifications involved in your exhaust? Price? Sound? Power? Thanks!

Oh no, no clearance problems at all. In fact, my side molding still hangs lower than the SFCs...they tuck up there quite nicely. The welder said he had not fitment issues either. They really helped tighten up the car. The car feels much stiffer over bumps in the road and turning into driveways and such. I felt a difference as I was backing up in the shop's parking lot.

Nope, don't have to pull up the carpet. The only thing you have to do is disconnect the LCA on the frame side and start welding. It's that easy.

sweet they seem like a good mod. Did you have to tear up the carpet when you welded them?? I have heard that some guys do this to avoid risk of burning their carpet. Sounds like a pain, just wondering if i can skip doing it.

No carpet risks with the Global West SFCs either AND you don't need to remove the lower control arms. They basically fit up in the channels on the outside edge of the floorpan.

I like BMR box type for strength. I also like the way they accent the bottom of my car. Bad point, they could scrape if you are not careful.

I am making my own. Mostly because I can for cheaper than buying them. I also have the equipment readily available. I like BMR's boxed design. I just don't like how low they hang down on a Camaro. Hotchkis uses a 1-1/2x2 rectangular tubing instead of a 2x2 boxed tubing. Mounting pads are different on each companies design. I am making mine with as many of the best points of each design as possible. Thank everyone for the pics they posted.
