Default TCC lock/unlock/lock/unlock - Mechanical Issue?

I have had my PCM tuned by the best and he is confident the tables are in the right mode to make the lock up right.

Problem is I am in and out of lock up while cruising (mostly out). We put a tech II on and saw the PCM appears to be commanding the able/enable of the TCC.

If my program is as good as it can get and I am still having this problem, is there a possible mechanical issue I need to review? (valve, solenoid, wire...etc).

SPECS: (motor is in a 1969 Camaro)

2000 LS1 running Painless harness 1998 F body PCM
SLP Stage III head/cam package
LS6 intake
Headers
2800 TCI stall converter (I called them, they don't think it is the converter)
3.5 rear gears.
160 t-stat
36# injectors

Thank you,

Chris

BTW, I am thinking of grabbing the wire at the PCM and installing a toggle. My idea is I could manually throw it into lock and go down the highway. If I am still in and out, then I would assume a solenoid or pump issue of some sort. If it locks and rolls, then I am back to a wiring, sensor, or PCM issue of some sort.

Just ran the toggle switch hooked to the tan/black wire right at the trans for TCC control. I was able to control TCC lock up by toggling that go ground for as long and whenever desired. Splicing in this way set a SES code for TCC malfunction. I assume it was because of the backfeed of the ground?????

Any thoughts guys?

I just recently bought a 1984 camaro with a 700r4 and the previous owner had disconnected the lockup circuit. He said that the car would go in and out of lockup just like 69MyWay's is doing.

If anybody has any ideas as to why this happens, plase post your thoughts!

Try adjusting the random missfire in the medium rpm table. Most of the time that is the problem on a large cam car. sound like a tuning issue to me. search the pcm section
