3000 vs. 3500 stall convertor
What's the difference between the two? I'm debating over which one to get, and I'm leaning towards the 3500, just because it's not that much more. But I was thinking about TCI's 3500 stall T/C, a TransGo shift kit and a Tranny cooler. Thing is, would I need a 19k or 24k?
So which T/C is the better of the two and which Tranny Cooler should I go with, 19k or 24k? Thanks.

Well it doesn't sound like much, but it's a 500 rpm difference. You wouldn't think it would do a whole lot, but there's actually quite a bit of difference and performance from a 3000 to a 3500 stall. Personally, I'd say go with the 3500 because most people who get a 3000 say it's too small once they get used to it.
As for the cooler, definitely go with the 24k. It's a bigger cooler, which means better protection for your tranny. Plus it's not much more expensive at all.

Go 3500 or bigger if you have the tire to back it up
My 4000 is fun as hell on the street, but it still likes to jump around a little. A good set of drag radials are definetley needed, IMO

If I went with the 3000, could I still run street tires?
Also, I've noticed this "clunking" noise after I shift from P to R, N, OV or D. I apply the brake, then put it into reverse and a slipt second after I do that, there's a "clunking" noise that occurs. The same thing occurs when putting it in neutral, over-drive or drive. What is this? Is it my flywheel or what? Should this be a concern? Thanks.
