Default Best sixty with the ST3500? upgrade to TP4400?

Just curious what sixty foot bests you all have experienced with the ST3500 converter? Also those that upgraded to the TP4400 how much did you gain?
Thanks,
Chris

I saw about .05 - .08 gain in 60' by upgrading to the YTP 4000. I would expect the 4400 would have provided another .03 - .05 had I gone to that stall.

Best 60ft I remember seeing from an ST3500 is 1.55. I'm pretty sure I've seen a 1.51 listed but can't be for sure. That was a H/C car. Bolt-on cars seem to go about low 1.6's to low 1.7's.

I've done alot of reading on the ST3500 before I made a decision. Glad I made the right one.

What conv. you running now Chris?

I am running the TP4400 right now and love it. It is impossible to hook at all on the street though. Even in third gear when I punch it the tires spin for about 3 feet. (At 75mph mind you!)
If I decide to ever go back to forced induction I will sell the TP4400 and go with a Yank PE 3800 converter.
Cheers,
Chris

Spin 3ft @ 75mph? Thats got to be a bit scary when you go to pass somebody. Sideways as you go into the oncoming lane. Been-there-done-that.

SSBoy, I would always pull low 1.9's before the yank at my "In the middle of nowhere, good ole'boy track". Only 2 runs since the ST3500. I went to Rt.66 and couldn't break 2.05.

I did a 1.52 60 ft. with my internally stock, bolt-on '01 Z28. I have an ST-3500.

It is an awesome converter!

1.60 is my best so far with the ST3500. Thats with bolt-ons and a 3600+ lb race weight.

I've pulled a best of 1.60 at Carlsbad with my ST3800 and 4.10 gears. With 3.23 gears my best was 1.68. I'm hoping for low 1.5s now with my front hals, drag springs, and kmember/aarms.

Terry I think high 1.5's are possible, Your car doesn't show 1.5 potential yet. Maybe you need to tweak your combo.

Hey, Chris, how is the drivability of that TP4400? If I got that and 3.73's, how loose do you think it would be compared to my Vig? Do you have unlocking problems and does it throw codes?
