I have a vigilante3000. I saw gains of 4 tenths all night long. As cosistant as can be. No problems whatsoever. About to upgrade to 4000 or 4400 because my 4.10s will work better with one of them. But i still got that much e.t. out of a 3000. Couldve probably had a LOT more out of a bigger one.

on average i see gains on .5 with 3000-3500s, but you also have to consider streetability, the higher the stall the more its going to take to get the car moving, and thats also going to take a hit w/ gas mileage, so dont just say "oh ill get a gain of .7 with the 4000" cuz your gas mileage will be **** and ull be reving it to 2000 just to move at red lights

Most people get .4-.5 gains out of them. With good tires added, some people see gains as good as .6-.8

I did headers, 224 cam, and a 3500 stall. Went from 13.20-13.30s to 12.20s. No tune on Nittos with a raceweight of 3700.

I just did the first high stall ever in my car....Ran a best of 13.01 before stall on a perfect day(normal was 13.1-13.2)..After the 3400 stall I ran in 85+ temps, DA was 4000 feet and pulled a 12.861 first night out(once I heated up the nittos enough), so sure I can drop into 12.5's or 6 with a cooler day and better DA.

My car has a TCI 4000 stall with 3.42 gears and the car idles at 750 RPMs, and if I take my foot off the brake at a redlight the car will pull away. I can stay with traffic and keep RPMs under 2000 or just barely over, and only need to turn more RPMs when I really want to get away from traffic. Still getting over 20 mpg at the pump with mixed driving and plenty of WOT fun.

You do see a little of what you're talking about, but its not that extreme. With the stall, cam, gears, and exhaust I lost 2-3 mpg and the car is MUCH more fun to drive. Easy tradeoff IMO.

I did 12.97 with a lid and nittos, then 12.4 with a SS4200. Once I tuned it (killed torque managment, upped the rev limiter and tweaked the shift points) I did 12.06. With LT's and suspension stuff I did the 11.73.

I still get over 20 mpg in city driving, the 4200 is not that bad.

Ran 13.5 stock and when I added the headers, SS3600 and nittos did an 12.8 all day long. Running 2.73 though , should do better when I put in the 3.73's.

My car has a th350 with a 4000 stall in it, manual valve body. Even though it's not my daily driver, this car is perfectly streetable. With my t56 the car liked to surge and kill itself a lot when coming to a stop, mine doesn't do it anymore. Don't be scared to get a big stall, they really aren't bad on the street

Ran a 13.98 stock and ran a 13.00 after the Yank TT3000 TC and Nittos. I have been running a 4000 stall and lost no gas mileage over the 3000 stall.

With what gear? Stock? With a 4000stall? If so how loose does it feel in the city?

What size gear you runnin? I got 4.10s with 3000 and thinking about going to 4400 but not sure about driving it daily with that big a stall. What do you think?

I had 3:23, I now have a 12 bolt with 3:73. My car is a true daily driver, much of it in very heavy traffic. Sure, I have to rev it a bit more to move the car, which hurts the gas mileage just a bit, but I still get about 20 MPG in city. I do not have any experience with the 4400 stalls, some say they are a bit much for a stock internal car to pull, and they'll flash out of your power band, especially with the 4:10's. That is why I went with the 4200.

Stock and with the TT3000, I was running 2.73's. I have 3.73's and the SS4000 and hope to get some new track times. The SS4000 and 3.73's are great for the city. It is tighter feeling than the TT3000/2.73's I once had.

Those are some pretty impressive gains. I might just have to buy one this week and put it in before the 2nd of Sept (next track race). Is it better to have one rebuilt or to order a brand name
