no reverse or 4th I took off from a stop light fast then the car felt like it hit a wall also made some whining niose and I lost reverse and 4th it also shifts only when I let off on the gas can I drive it like this till I get money for a rebuild

you killed your reaction shell. depends on what you want out on the rebuild usually alot cheaper if you pull your trans and take it some were.

depends on the miles. since your right there might as well freshen it up. but there a few places that make hd shells. search around and find them. shell is very easy to replace.
