Is from A4 to A3 the best move?
Also, what would you all suggest for a daily driver? I don't drive it daily, but I'd probably put about 50-100 miles on it a week. Would it be horrible on the freeway? What kind of gears/stall would you recommend? I am hoping for 400-450rwhp n/a and 150 spray on top of that.
P.S. I'm an hours drive away (in a A4 car) from the track.

I ended up with a Maximum Evil 4L60E, which is the third (highest) stage offered by Dr Evil. LS1 speed happens to carry them. It was $2k plus ~$130 to upgrade to vacuum modulation.
For a strong 4L60E check into Rossler, Rock-On, FLP and Dr Evil. Probably in that order. (give or take) From what I've seen they are all quality.
I wanted to go TH400 but the loss of overdrive and lockup, taller first gear and the fact that it wasn't going to be cheap by the time it was all said and done had be going with the 60E. It's holding up fine for now (few thousand aggresive street miles and a couple days at the track) but I still wonder if I'd be better off with something bulletproof. Oh well, not on a daily driver. Later on down the road if/when this tranny gives me problems and my car is as much a racer as a street car I might get a turbo 400.
